What does the ICDA Board do?
ICDA President
It is the job of the ICDA President to lead the organization in translating the vision into a reality. The President provides direction and leadership for their elected term. Specific duties of the President include... -- Presiding at meetings of the Board of Directors and all official meetings of the Association. -- Selecting the Treasurer and ICDA committee chairs. -- Carrying out policy as prescribed by the Board of Directors. -- Appointing a Treasurer and all necessary committee chairs. -- Representing ICDA on the ICA Governing Council or designating a representative to serve in their place. -- Appointing ICDA representation on the ICA Governing Council and other ICA committees. -- Organizing ICDA’s representation at the ICA Conference. -- Performing such duties as assigned by the Board of Directors. Tenure: One year followed by one year as Immediate Past President.
President-Elect

Treasurer
The treasurer makes purchases and payments from ICDA's funds, keeps an eye on funding levels, and regularly reports to the ICDA Board of Directors. Role and Duties of All Board Members
The general role of Board members is to come together as a team to enthusiastically help ICDA expand and excel in fulfillment of its mission and vision. The ideal Board members are collaborative, supportive, and willing to contribute to Board meetings, projects, and ICDA events for the purpose of helping ICDA thrive. Board members do NOT need to be particularly experienced with ICDA or have years of experience in the area of career development. We need people from a variety of backgrounds to ensure an array of ideas, strengths, and perspectives.
